Watching this ore boat reminded me of growing up in Charlevoix, Michigan, and seeing the ore boats out in Lake Michigan. Loved hearing the boat signal the bridge and the bridge signaling back. We had a canal and a bridge as well but we were fish tugs and the Beaver Island ferry boat. In the summer, we had yachts.
