Hi so doing a playthrough again with the "gift bags" for a more fun and diverse playthrough, got to the vault of braccus and the 2nd trompdoy fight the aeromancer that is the "real" one instantly gets a permanent resist death when the fight starts, i keept at it for about 30 minutes before realising this wasn't right.
