Septarian concretions

Septarian concretions (see Septarian Concretions) are precipitated carbonate nodules that also have fractures filled with coarse, multigeneration carbonate. Individual concretions can range from millimeters to several meters in length, and these sometimes coalesce to form larger sheets or irregular masses.
