sadly nope. statues got nerfed. SOME drop items but things like the slime staff im 70% sure they don't. ironically medusa statues still drop the mirrior and head and the goblins and other mobs drop their normal drops. Statue drops were nerfed Except the Slime statue. it still has the pre 1.4 drops.
