I recently updated my 1.17 world to the recent C&C update and have been noticing that strip mining yields a fraction of ores than pre-update. I've been mining at -57 and -58 (supposedly the highest diamond concentration levels) and have about 10 'lanes' in every direction, all roughly 400 blocks long (so about 16k blocks in total).
