So, in my current game I won the lottery and found the Brain Slugs (first time in 6 real months, slugs are way too rare nowadays). The problem is that my empire is Fan. Militarist and Xenophobic. If I recall correctly there is a special case for Xenophobes in Brain Slug anomaly: they cannot get the Brain Slug trait, lottery win cancelled.

I lucked out in my last game and had the brain slug anomaly show up in the very first system I surveyed. Immediately thought "welp, we goa'uld now." Extra fun once you get genetic engineering and your brainsluggified subspecies is an applicable template...Since only a few pops have the brain slugs, that means there's a whole lot more pops out there who don't have brain slugs to modify. But if you also got a really good trait from the mysterious RGB box, then, yeah, maybe biological ascension ain't worth it, unless you're very much willing to fiddle around with your species' traits.What is the console command to add the Broken Union (Brain slug) anomaly to a planet? Even if you could just ignore slug phobia entirely it would be very questionable to go for brain slugs, and with slug phobia it's just not ... The idea of symbiotically linking with another organism for greater potential together than you'd have alone (especially a version that doesn't end up devolving into one species enslaving the other) is a really cool concept that doesn't get enough love.The reduced growth is a bigger issue. That said, if you get most of your pop growth from cloning vats and the like, it's not a major issue. New Systems Distant Stars adds around 20 new, unique systems to the galaxy, similar to Sanctuary or Zanaam in the base game.
