It's my favorite weekend of the year! I haven't done it the past couple years due to COVID (wife is high risk so we haven't been doing public events), but pre-pandemic I'd always be in line when doors opened, racing from site to site during a very strategically planned itinerary until sites closed, and then do it again the next day. The new development at North & Western has to be one of the most depressing land uses I have seen in a long time. How can we create a more walkable city when we're still building things like this in our densest neighborhoods?I am moving with my husband to Chicago to start my new job at U Chicago beginning in September.
