A lot of great stuff to talk about there, lot of great points about "why is Gendo being unnecessarily cryptic", but I am unfortunately way too tired to really get into it. I'll say that there are a lot of things that, in my opinion, Gendo should logically be doing that, in canon, he seems to actually go out of his way to avoid even attempting if at all possible.
