This year marked my 15th time vacationing on Monhegan Island. Each time I have stayed at the Trailing Yew. Not only it is the best value on the island, it also offers the best experience possible. I love the rustic nature of the island and the inn. I suggest reading up on the island and being prepared.Just steps from the Seaside Inn and Ocean House Hotel is the Monhegan Boat Line which runs daily trips to Monhegan Island, Port Clyde Kayak Tours, and an assortment of galleries. The famous Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum is a short walk away as is the Drift-Inn Beach, Port Clyde's picturesque swimming beach. A Tripadvisor Member wrote a review Jul 2002. The comforter was stained. Overpriced at $160.00 with no bathroom. The food was mediocre at best.
