I want to change my Protovyre Ephemera because i've managed to max out the current one and need to equip the new one to continue my farming towards it but i am curious if it is possible for me to change during a game of Duviri or do i need to abort the current session?

In UE5, you can have second material slot for that purpose. Protovyre ephemera probably use this approach, since it's looking like outline for frame. This easier than add sockets for each helmet, but you lose in accuracy. So horns will flow in the air, and distance may vary for each frame.
