Confused about Mauna Kea. Hawai'i (Big Island) I’ve seen a bunch of posts about Mauna Kea on this sub, and this is my current understanding: You can drive up to the visitor center with a rental car, but not the summit. Going to the visitor center is free. Here’s what I’m confused about:
