Spiked caestus elden ring

I know that the bleed fists (Spiked Caestus and Star Fists) are better in every way, but it feels less honorable somehow. Anyone experienced enough with this weapon class to give me some tips? I love the R2s on Caestus but the Iron Ball seems like it does a fair bit more damage. And as far as I can tell the only difference in moveset is the R2s.

I started on a similar build a few days ago and I'm using an Occult Spiked Caestus. Super low requirements and, if you're on a completely new character, you can get Occult affinity very early from Lifesteal Fist. That will tide you over until you can get the appropriate whet blade and assign a better ash. Love this, so I managed to get two spiked caestus. One has flame of the Redmanes with fire affinity (right hand) and the left one has golden vow. I got claw talisman, Millicent's prothesis and lord of blood exultation. Got the white mask too. So effectively my build is a fist bleed weapon and I am meltinggggg bosses.
