I think 4e had pikes and glaives as well, might be mistaken though. In 5e, pike is an inferior weapon to the halberd and glaive. It was 18 pounds compared to 6 pounds and doesn't work with the bonus attack on polearm master. 5e. RAW, pikes are just worse. They're heavier and don't work with Polearm Master.
