Sep 23, 2021 · Unbearable packet loss & lag in FFXIV. Hi! I have been experiencing very severe lag/packet loss on Final Fantasy XIV. I have read online that this has historically been an issue with Xfinity and FFXIV servers. I haven't been able to figure out if this is an Xfinity issue or a FFXIV issue - I have included a ping pointer screenshot below...

the servers are not overloaded and lagging. we know this because the majority of players are not experiencing any lag. the current issue is that somewhere between you and the server something is fucked up. it could be a bad node having issues, or an issue with one specific isp. what is clear though, is that it the issue is not on SE's end.Right after I fixed that, packet loss and lag the whole evening.
