The later switch with female terminals (part number 647801) was used in CJ2A after Serial number 219465 and all CJ3A.

Walck's fuel gauge has a hole in the back that a lamp holder snaps into. The lamp holder is too small for the hole. I realize this is not original, but no once can tell looking at the gauge installed.No more than 35 ft/lbs. The danger is that the bolt will pull the thread out of the knuckle. If that happens, the recourse is to put a thread insert (heli-coil or equivalent) in the hole that stripped. It probably don't have anything to do with the fuel pump since the jeep was running alright. Be sure you have good inline fuel filters, I run one before the fuel pump. I tried the solex, I could never get it to smooth out and run right, even with an $80 redline regulator. 1947 CJ2A 90419.It also has the power brake unit from the Pinto. It has a dual master cylinder pushing standard 9" drum brakes. The Pinto has a timing belt which can be changed on the trail if need be - been there. He had a bolt back out of the flywheel one time and it knocked a hole in the bell housing. Thats about what I know.When this set of bows is assembled, the centers of the rear bows will be 56-3/8 inches apart. (This is what my cj2a is) and the center of the bows on the middle set will be 54-5/8 inches apart.
