Breville barista express reddit

I do want to replace the Starbucks trips with more @ home latte's. I called up Seattle Coffee Gear trying to get them to talk me out of the Breville line-up, but they seemed to think it was a great machine for a first time user. They implied the Breville coffee grinder is perfect for the Breville, and not much else.

Breville barista express reddit. Yes, I just upgraded from the BBE but used it and loved it for many years. It’s a great machine for the $$$ range. Adjustable burrs, grind setting, great steam wand. I watched the price go up over the last few years, so I think the sellers purchase amount is far lower then todays new prices, maybe some wiggle room there. eeeljo • 2 yr. ago.

Okay so one cursed day I decided to up my espresso game and switch over to a Breville Barista Express from an older, fairly basic Breville model (cafe roma). It's been almost 2 frustrating weeks of trying to dial in 3 different beans and scouring reddit and other coffee forums trying to find a way to get this damn ratio right.

Just bought a brand new machine, 1 day old, and ran it a few times with no issues. Now after turning it on, both the Power + Hot Water/Steam lights are blinking. I made sure the knob on the right hand side is in "standby position', have waited an hour to see if it indeed is heating up and have tried powering down and unplugging the machine. Most say that the Bambino Plus is a great machine for beginners, but the Barista Express offers a lack of arm work on my end. Do you guys have a preference or recommendations? The BE is a great brewer with a sub-par grinder. The grinder is stepped, and the step size is quite large. This means that the best grind is often between two steps. You should both clean and descale when the "clean me" light comes on. The manual suggests using a vinegar/water mixture for descaling, but many here report better results using a product designed for espresso machine descaling. You could try Dezcal or Durgol Swiss Espresso. 4. dreiter • 4 yr. ago. This lacks the better thermojet heater system that even the Bambino has, not to mention any auto frothing function.
