Also kinda hard to multitask with other things because the level ends so quickly. Personally, I like to grind up links in 7-10 to the 8/9 range.

Imo the system could be fixed by implementing a guaranteed link level every 10 battles; just have a lil xp bar under the growth tab of the unit which displays how many battles left till the level up. This way the grind doesn't seem endless whilst also keeping the intent from Akatsuki of it being a somewhat lengthy grind.
