This campground has it all a beautiful lake for fishing,swimming and boating, clean restrooms, showers and laundry, clear and clean pool, fun and safe playground, softball, horseshoes, dances, tractor ride around the entire campground, lots of fun childrens activities planned throughout the season ( to many to list).
Apache Creek Campground is located approximately 12 miles northeast of Reserve on the south side of New Mexico Highway 12. Just past mile marker 19, turn south onto Forest Road 94 (Cox Canyon Rd.). Apache Creek Campground is located on the right side of the road. There is a small store on Hwy 12 about 500 yards away.

It’s located right on the water, it has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, there are lots of on-site fun activities, and it’s just a short drive away from major attractions.The last and most beautiful section of the pier was closed. This information was not disclosed to us as we were coming in. Also, it was very expensive. It's part of the Apache campground, so you have to drive through the entire park to get to the pier. The cost is $5 just to enter the campground, then you have to pay to walk on the pier.We have been camping at Apache for a number of years, usually early spring or late fall.
