Ammonite crabs have 100 hp, 3 spawns within one tile, in multi so they all agro you until you lose it ofc, drop fossils and numulite, and I find them to be pretty easy to find a world compared to sand crabs.
Looks like mystics with chaos gauntlets is the winner here. I'm getting 100k xp per hour on crabs while alching in-between hits. The xp per hour is only 1-2k more than void mage though. So they're almost equal, but I am hitting higher with mystic and chaos gauntlets. Without alching, it's only 45-50k per hour.

I just went and did some calculations using the DPS calculator using mid-tier gear and fighting ammonite crabs. To go from 70-99 in Attack, Strength, and Defence using an abyssal whip on controlled would take 415 hours of combat.
